Committee Descriptions

Brief descriptions of the work that each committee is responsible for...

Marketing: advertises for UNICEF-Georgetown by flyering, creating murals, etc. in order to promote our organization's events and advocate for UNICEF on campus

Fundraising: plan and executes fundraising events like bake sales, movie nights, Corp partnerships,
raffle ticket sales, etc.

Conference: reaches out to 20-30 speakers in the field of international development, raises funds for and markets the event, and determines the event's logistics

Special Events: organizes and executes the two largest fundraising and awareness campaigns during
the year, Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF and the Tap Project

Education: visits schools with committee members and volunteers to give TeachUNICEF lessons to students in DC elementary schools

Program: hosts monthly Spotlight Dinners and the Spring Film Festival

Advocacy: plans Advocacy-Action dinners and the Creative Expressions Contest

Technology: maintains and updates UNICEF-Georgetown's website, blog, listserv, Facebook page and group, and sends out organization's newsletters
